Commentary:
This photograph accompanies the Find A Grave memorials for
Charles Bruce Sharp[1]
and Bertie Sharp[2]. The Snapp Cemetery is located
"just south of Forsyth, across Bull Shoals Bridge off Hwy 76." The memorials describe the plot as
"Row 1 from East, N. of dividing road."
The death certificate for Charles Bruce Sharp[3] states that his burial was to take place
19 November 1935 in Forsyth but a cemetery was not named. Given that no other "Charles Bruce Sharp" is found in nearby cemeteries
and that the lifespan dates are identical (1854-1935) for both sources, it is concluded that the death certificate and grave
marker refer to the same person.
Bertie Sharp's death certificate[4] explicitly states that she was to be buried at
Snapp Cemetery on 9 February 1964.
