This blog is about the "stuff" of genealogy: deeds, wills, censuses, etc.
Any piece of evidence that helps decipher the past lives and relationships of my ancestors.
My postings are here to share what I've learned with other researchers and also to help me keep it organized.
Many (if not most) of the posts are for individual findings with image scans and transcriptions.
My style is matter-of-fact, and certainly not "chatty."
I try to schedule my blog posts to match a GeneaBlogger's daily prompt.
My favorite prompts include:
- Census Sunday
- Mappy Monday
- Tombstone Tuesday
- Wedding Wednesday
- Treasure Chest Thursday
- Sympathy Saturday
Currently, I'm concentrating on the history of my great-grandparents William C. Sharp and Delilah Neal and their descendants.
They spent much of their lives along the Ohio River, from Rising Sun, Ohio County, Indiana (1838-1850's),
to Pope County, Illinois (1855-1869), and finally to Livingston County, Kentucky (1870-1904).
