Commentary:
This document was created by the Ohio County Recorder in Rising Sun, Indiana, with William and Delilah Sharp present. They give their current residence as Pope County, Illinois. The grantee, Joseph Neale, is said to be of Jasper County, Illinois. This sale and the one made 25 August 1853, are for the same lot of land and to the same Joseph Neale. Perhaps, the first filing in 1853 was considered incomplete and they made a personal appearance at the recorder's office in 1854 to assure the transaction was completed correctly.
