Ten years later, the Sleiser household of the 1900 census[1],
was enumerated in 1910 as the Albert H. Slesser household still living in the town of Carrsville,
Livingston County, Kentucky[2]. The census reports that Albert had
been married to Ida B. Slesser for about 11 years. Ida is reported to have given birth to 3 children, 2 of
which were still living on the census day. Of these only their daughter Hallie Slesser remained at home.

Commentary:
Between 1910 and 1900, there are some discrepancies in the reported data. For example,
Ida's reported age in 1900, is 39 but in 1910, is 47. More glaring differences are found
in the reported birthplaces for Albert and Albert's father. Albert's birthplace in 1900
was given as Kentucky and his father's birthplace was Pennsylvania. In 1910, Albert and
his father are reported to have been born in Germany. It is unknown who the informants
were for this information in each census.
The 1910 census databases provided by Ancestry[3]
and FamilySearch[4], index this
record under "Albert H. Hesser". The image of the census page clearly shows that the
leading characters of the surname are more likely 'Sl' than an 'H'.
